MLCCs are manufactured by suspending ceramic powders in liquid, casting them into thin green sheets, printing metal electrodes, and stacking them. Sintering at high temperatures creates a monolithic block offering high capacitance in small volumes. Termination electrodes are then formed and plated for direct soldering onto printed circuit boards.
