Usage Precautions

  • Circuit Design: Use within rated performance, avoid high temperature, overcurrent, overvoltage, reverse voltage, or frequent charge/discharge. Ensure proper insulation between terminals and casing. Avoid environments with water, salt, oil, corrosive gases, direct sunlight, ozone, UV, or radiation. Ensure vibration and shock are within specified limits. Select capacitors with a lifespan comparable to the equipment.
  • Component Installation: Ensure terminals do not short circuit. Avoid contact with water, oil, or condensation. Protect from direct sunlight, ozone, UV, and radiation. Avoid corrosive gas environments. Ensure vibration and shock are within limits. Ensure correct polarity and spacing for PCB mounting. Allow space above the safety vent. Avoid placing other components or wiring near the safety vent. Avoid placing heat-generating components near the capacitor.
  • Assembly and Soldering: Prevent solder from adhering to non-terminal areas. Follow specified soldering temperature, time, and number of cycles. Do not immerse the capacitor body in solder. Avoid other products falling onto the capacitor during soldering.
  • Cleaning: Do not use cleaning agents unless specified. If cleaning is necessary, follow specifications regarding cleaning agents and drying procedures.
  • Fixing Agents: Do not use halogen-containing fixing agents. Ensure no residue or dirt remains between the PCB and capacitor after application.
  • Screw Terminals: Install vertically with the pressure relief valve facing upwards, or horizontally with the valve or positive terminal facing upwards.
  • Maintenance: Regular inspections (visual and performance tests) are required for industrial capacitors.
  • Accidents: If the safety vent opens during assembly, cut off power. Keep face away from the vent. In case of eye contact with ejected gas, flush with water. Avoid ingesting electrolyte. Wash skin with soap if electrolyte spills.
  • Fumigation: Exercise caution with halogen-based fumigation (e.g., potassium bromide) for export products, as it may cause corrosion. Ensure fumigant does not directly contact products and allow for thorough drying.
  • Storage: Store indoors at 5-30 and below 75% humidity. Do not store in environments prohibited for use.
  • Disposal: Puncture or crush and incinerate, or hand over to a specialized recycling service.
