Usage Precautions
Circuit Design: Ensure components are used within rated performance, avoiding high temperatures, overcurrent, overvoltage, reverse voltage, AC voltage, and rapid charge/discharge. Select capacitors with a lifespan compatible with the machine. Ensure isolation between capacitor terminals and the circuit. Avoid using where sleeve insulation is insufficient. Do not expose to water, saltwater, oil, condensation, or harmful gases (sulfides, H2SO3, HNO3, CL2, ammonia). Avoid direct sunlight, ozone, UV, or radioactive environments. Ensure vibration and shock conditions do not exceed specifications. When designing installation, ensure correct polarity, adequate space above the safety vent, and avoid placing other components or wiring near the vent. Minimize heat-generating components around the capacitor. For double-sided PCBs, avoid mounting over unnecessary holes. Ensure current and voltage equalization for parallel and series connections respectively.
Component Installation: Avoid direct contact between capacitor terminals and prevent short circuits. Verify the installation environment: avoid contact with water, oil, condensation, direct sunlight, ozone, UV, radiation, or harmful gases. Ensure vibration and shock do not exceed specifications. For screw-mounted products, ensure the pressure valve is oriented upwards for vertical installation and upwards or towards the positive terminal for horizontal installation.
Assembly and Usage: Do not allow capacitor terminals to directly contact each other or allow conductive materials to cause short circuits. Ensure the installation environment is free from water, oil, condensation, direct sunlight, ozone, UV, radiation, or harmful gases. Vibration and shock should not exceed specifications. Do not use capacitors that have been dropped or deformed. Ensure correct polarity and that terminal spacing matches PCB holes. Avoid excessive force from automatic insertion machines.
Soldering: Prevent solder from adhering to areas other than the terminals. Adhere to specified soldering temperature, time, and number of cycles. Do not immerse the capacitor body in the solder solution. Avoid other products falling and hitting the capacitor during soldering.
Maintenance: Capacitors used in industrial applications require regular checks, including visual inspection and performance testing.
Accidental Situations: If the capacitor's safety vent opens during assembly, cut off the main power or unplug. If the safety vent operates, hot gas exceeding 100 may be ejected; keep face away and flush eyes with water if gas enters. Do not taste or ingest electrolyte; wash skin with soap if contact occurs.
Fumigation Treatment: When exporting products containing capacitors to overseas markets, be cautious of fumigation using halides like potassium bromide, as it can cause corrosion. Ensure fumigant does not directly contact products and allow for thorough drying. Verify safety if fumigant residue or insufficient drying is suspected.
Storage Conditions: Store indoors at temperatures between 5-30 and humidity below 75%. Do not store in environments or conditions prohibited during assembly and usage.
Disposal: Dispose of capacitors by puncturing or crushing and then incinerating, or by handing them over to specialized waste recyclers if incineration is not performed.
