Usage Precautions

  • Circuit Design: Use within rated performance, avoid high temperature, overcurrent, overvoltage, reverse/AC voltage, and rapid charge/discharge. Select capacitors with a lifespan comparable to the machine.
  • Isolation: Ensure complete isolation between capacitor terminals, auxiliary terminals, and circuits.
  • Environment: Avoid contact with water, saltwater, oil, condensing environments, and gases like sulfides, H2SO3, HNO3, CL2, ammonia. Do not expose to direct sunlight, O3, UV, or radioactive substances. Avoid severe vibration and shock beyond specified limits.
  • Installation: Ensure correct polarity, avoid dropping, and do not install deformed capacitors. Match PCB hole spacing to capacitor terminals. Ensure space above the safety vent. Avoid placing other components or wiring near the vent. Minimize heat-generating components around the capacitor.
  • Assembly: Prevent direct contact between capacitor terminals. Avoid short circuits. Ensure proper environment during installation (avoid water, oil, condensation, harmful gases, direct sunlight, UV, radiation, excessive vibration/shock).
  • Soldering: Ensure solder adheres only to terminals. Follow specified temperature, time, and number of cycles. Do not immerse the capacitor body in solder. Avoid other products falling and touching the capacitor during soldering.
  • Cleaning: Do not clean with detergents. If cleaning is necessary, follow specifications. Ensure proper detergent management and thorough drying to prevent residue.
  • Fixing Agents: Do not use halogen-containing fixing agents or resin coatings. Ensure no solder residue or dirt remains between the PCB and capacitor. Dry thoroughly before applying fixing agents.
  • Bolt Products: Install with the pressure valve facing upwards when vertical, or the pressure valve or positive terminal upwards when horizontal.
  • Maintenance: Regular visual inspection and performance testing are required for industrial capacitors.
  • Accidents: If the safety vent opens, disconnect power. Keep face away from vent, as high-temperature gas may be ejected. Flush eyes with water if gas enters, wash skin with soap if electrolyte spills. Do not ingest electrolyte.
  • Fumigation: Be cautious with halogen-based fumigation (e.g., potassium bromide) for overseas export, as it can cause corrosion. Ensure fumigant does not directly contact products and allow for thorough drying.
  • Storage: Store indoors at 5-30 and <75% humidity. Do not store in environments prohibited for use.
  • Disposal: Puncture or crush and incinerate, or hand over to specialized recyclers.
