Usage Precautions
Circuit Design: Use within rated performance, avoid high temperature, overcurrent, overvoltage, reverse/AC voltage, and rapid charge/discharge. Ensure proper isolation between capacitor terminals and circuitry. Select capacitors with a lifespan compatible with the machine. Consider special requirements with R&D. Ensure proper insulation for the capacitor sleeve. Avoid environments with water, salt, oil, condensation, or harmful gases. Protect from direct sunlight, ozone, UV, and radiation. Avoid severe vibration and shock. Ensure correct polarity and spacing for PCB mounting. Avoid placing heat-generating components near capacitors. For parallel/series connections, ensure current/voltage balance.
Component Installation: Do not allow terminals to touch. Avoid short circuits. Check operating environment for water, oil, condensation, harmful gases, UV, ozone, radiation, vibration, and shock. Ensure correct PCB hole spacing for terminals. Leave space above the capacitor's safety vent and avoid placing components there. Ensure no wiring or components obstruct the vent. Avoid placing other wiring near the capacitor on the PCB. Minimize heat-generating components around the capacitor.
Soldering: Prevent solder from adhering to areas other than terminals. Adhere to specified soldering temperature, time, and cycles. Do not immerse the capacitor body in solder. Avoid dropping other products onto the capacitor during soldering.
Assembly Use: Prevent direct contact between capacitor terminals. Avoid conductor-induced short circuits. Check the installation environment for water, oil, condensation, harmful gases, UV, ozone, radiation, vibration, and shock. For double-sided PCBs, avoid mounting over unnecessary holes. Ensure current balance for parallel connections and voltage balance for series connections.
Maintenance: Regular inspections (visual and performance testing) are required for industrial capacitors.
Accidents: In case of safety vent activation, disconnect power immediately. Keep face away from the vent due to high-temperature gas release. Flush eyes with water if gas enters, wash skin with soap if electrolyte contacts it, and do not ingest electrolyte.
Fumigation: Be cautious with halide-based fumigation (e.g., potassium bromide) for overseas export, as it can cause corrosion. Ensure fumigant does not directly contact products and allow for thorough drying. Verify safety if fumigant residue or incomplete drying is suspected.
Storage: Store indoors at 5-30 and below 75% humidity. Avoid storage conditions similar to those prohibited during assembly and use.
Disposal: Puncture or crush and incinerate, or hand over to specialized recyclers.
