Usage Precautions
Circuit Design: Use within rated performance limits. Avoid high temperatures, overcurrent, overvoltage, reverse voltage, or frequent charge/discharge cycles. Ensure proper lifespan matching of capacitors. Isolate capacitor terminals from each other and the circuit. Use insulation where necessary. Avoid contact with water, salt, oil, or harmful gases. Protect from direct sunlight, ozone, UV, and radiation. Ensure vibration and shock conditions are within specifications. Ensure correct polarity and spacing for board mounting. Avoid placing heat-generating components near capacitors.
Assembly & Installation: Do not short-circuit terminals. Ensure proper insulation. Do not use capacitors that have been dropped or deformed. Ensure correct polarity. Do not use dropped capacitors. Ensure correct spacing between capacitor and PCB holes. Avoid excessive force from automatic insertion machines. When soldering, ensure solder does not adhere to terminals other than intended. Follow specified soldering conditions (temperature, time, number of times). Do not immerse the capacitor body in solder. Avoid other products falling onto the capacitor during soldering.
Cleaning: Do not use cleaning agents unless specified. If cleaning is necessary, follow specifications regarding cleaning agents and drying procedures. Ensure no residual cleaning fluid remains.
Fixing Agents: Do not use halogen-containing fixing or coating agents. Ensure no solder residue or dirt remains between the PCB and capacitor. Dry thoroughly before applying fixing agents to prevent clogging.
Mounting: For screw-mounted products, ensure the pressure relief vent is facing upwards during vertical installation and upwards or towards the positive terminal during horizontal installation.
Maintenance: Regular inspections (visual and performance tests) are required for industrial capacitors.
Accidents: In case of pressure relief vent activation, disconnect power. Keep face away from the vent due to high-temperature gas release. Flush eyes with water if gas enters, wash skin with soap if electrolyte contacts it. Do not ingest electrolyte.
Fumigation: Be cautious with halide-based fumigation (e.g., potassium bromide) for overseas export, as it can cause corrosion. Ensure fumigant does not directly contact products and that thorough drying is performed.
Storage: Store indoors at 5-30 with humidity below 75%. Do not store in environments prohibited for use.
Disposal: Puncture or crush and incinerate, or hand over to specialized recyclers.
