Usage Precautions

1. Circuit Design

  • Ensure operation within rated performance limits. Avoid high temperatures (> max operating temp), overcurrent (> rated ripple current), overvoltage (> rated voltage), reverse or AC voltage, and circuits with frequent rapid charge/discharge.
  • Select capacitors with a lifespan comparable to the machine's lifespan.
  • Isolate capacitor casing, terminals from positive/negative poles and circuits.
  • Do not use if the capacitor sleeve's insulation is insufficient for specific insulation requirements.
  • Avoid environments in direct contact with water, saltwater, oils, or condensation; environments with harmful gases (sulfides, H2SO3, HNO3, CL2, ammonia water); direct sunlight, O3, UV, or radioactive substances; and environments with vibration and shock exceeding specifications.
  • Ensure proper capacitor installation design: correct positive/negative terminal spacing to PCB hole spacing, sufficient space above the safety vent, and avoid placing wiring or components above the safety vent. Avoid placing other wiring near the capacitor on the PCB. Minimize heat-generating components around the capacitor and on the PCB.
  • Consider temperature and frequency variations, capacitor placement on double-sided PCBs, current balancing in parallel connections, and voltage balancing in series connections.

2. Component Assembly

  • Ensure capacitor terminals do not directly contact each other or short-circuit the positive and negative poles with conductive materials.
  • Confirm the assembly environment: avoid contact with water or oil, condensation, direct exposure to sunlight, O3, UV, or radiation, harmful gases, and vibration/shock exceeding specifications.

3. Assembly and Use

  • Avoid direct contact between capacitor terminals and prevent conductive materials from short-circuiting the positive and negative poles.
  • Confirm the installation environment: avoid contact with water/oil, condensation, direct exposure to sunlight/O3/UV/radiation, harmful gases, and excessive vibration/shock.

4. Regular Inspection

  • For industrial use, regular inspections are required, including visual checks and performance testing.

5. Emergency Situations

  • If the capacitor's safety vent opens during assembly, immediately cut off the main power or unplug the power.
  • Exercise caution due to high-temperature gas ejection from the safety vent; avoid direct facial proximity. In case of eye contact, rinse immediately with water. Do not ingest electrolyte; if it contacts skin, wash with soap.

6. Fumigation Treatment

  • For export products treated with fumigants (e.g., potassium bromide), avoid reusing capacitors if fumigant contact or insufficient drying may cause corrosion. Ensure fumigant does not directly contact products and allow for thorough drying. Consult safety if uncertain.

7. Storage Conditions

  • Store indoors at temperatures of 5-30C and humidity below 75%.
  • Do not store in environments or conditions prohibited during assembly and use.

8. Disposal

  • Dispose of capacitors by making a hole or crushing and incinerating, or by handing them over to specialized recyclers.

9. Environmental Requirements

  • Products comply with the latest EU RoHS, HF, and REACH environmental requirements. Special customer requirements are subject to signed agreements.
