Application Guideline

When designing circuits using DV Series V-chip aluminum electrolytic capacitors, ensure that operating conditions (temperature, ripple current, voltage) are within the specified limits. These capacitors are polarized and should not have reverse or AC voltage applied. For circuits with potential reverse voltage, bi-polar capacitors are recommended. Avoid using aluminum electrolytic capacitors in circuits with rapid and frequent charge/discharge cycles; opt for specialized long-life capacitors instead. Do not apply excess voltage; the peak voltage from the superposition of DC and ripple voltage should not exceed the rated voltage.
