Application Guidelines

Circuit Design: Ensure environmental and mounting conditions are within specified limits. Operating temperature and ripple current must be within catalog specifications. Select capacitors that comply with life requirements. Aluminum electrolytic capacitors are polar; avoid reverse or AC voltage. Consider bi-polar capacitors for circuits with potential reverse voltage. Do not use for rapid/frequent charge/discharge cycles; use special design capacitors. Avoid overload voltage; the peak voltage (DC + ripple) should not exceed the rated voltage. For series connections, ensure voltage is below rated and use a balancing resistor. Capacitors are not suitable for environments with water, brine, oil, toxic gases (H2S, SO2, NO2, Cl2, Br2, CH3Br, NH3), ozone, UV, or radiation. Avoid severe vibration and mechanical shock exceeding specifications. Electrolyte and separator paper are flammable; ensure no circuitry is under the capacitor seal to prevent corrosion or short circuits.

Vibration Test Conditions: Frequency range: 10-55-10Hz/min, sweep method: logarithmic, amplitude/acceleration: 1.5mm (max 10G), direction: X, Y, Z, time: 2 hours per direction. Shock is generally not applicable.
