Resistance Value Code and Marking Rules

  • E-24 Series (0603, 5%): Three digits. First two are significant figures, third is power of 10.
  • E-24 Series (0603, 1% & 0.5%): Three digits with a short bar underneath.
  • E-96 Series & E-24 Series (1% & 0.5%) for 0805, 1206, 1210, 2010, 2512, 4R02, 4R03: Four digits. First three are significant figures, fourth is power of 10.
  • E-96 Series for 0603: Three codes. First two are E-96 resistance codes, third is a multiplier letter.
  • Decimal point denoted by "R".
  • Jumper denoted by "0".
  • 0201, 0402: No marking on glass side.
  • Non-IEC standard series use the closest IEC E24 series marking.
  • Special marking requirements are printed as per agreement.

Instructions for Use

  • Environmental Considerations: Performance may be affected by use in liquids, direct sunlight, dusty environments, corrosive gases (Cl2, H2S, Nh3, SO2, No2), static electricity, electromagnetic waves, proximity to flammable items, sealing with resin, or cleaning with water/water-soluble agents after soldering.
  • Precautions: Avoid exceeding rated power. Handle with care when using tweezers to prevent chipping. Ensure soldering tip does not touch the product during manual installation.
