Terminal Strength (Pull) Capacitor body held, force applied to lead wire. Lead wire shall neither loosen nor break away.
Terminal Strength (Bending) Capacitor body inclined through 90 and returned. Consecutive bends in opposite direction. Lead wire shall neither loosen nor break away.
Soldering Heat Resistance Test Reflow in specified conditions. Capacitance change: Within 10%. Tan : Not more than specified. Leakage current: Not more than specified. Swelling of case: Less than 0.2mm (for <6.3) or 0.3mm (for 8). Appearance: No abnormality.

Pressure Relief Vent Apply reverse voltage with 1 amp DC current. No sparking; No shorting. No breaking out of electrolyte paper; Vent opening, no flowing down of electrolyte.
High Temperature Storage 1000 hours at 1052 without applied voltage. Capacitance change: Within 30%. Tan : Not more than 300% of specified. Leakage current: Not more than specified. Appearance: No leakage and damaged.
High and Low Temperature Characteristics Temperature cycles from -55C to +105C. Impedance ratio and capacitance change within specified limits.

Temperature Profile (Reflow)

  • Pre-heating: Less than +160 lasting 120 seconds.
  • Capacitor top temperature shall not exceed +260.
  • Duration over +230 at capacitor top shall not exceed 30 seconds.
