Performance Test Environment & Criteria

- Solderability Test: At least 95% of the dipped terminal surface covered with new solder.

- Damp Heat Steady State Test: Capacitance change within 20% (or 10% for endurance >2000H), tan and leakage current within specified values.
- Endurance: Capacitance change within 20%, tan (not more than 200% of specified), leakage current within specified values. Test times vary by case size (2000Hrs for 5-6.3, 3000Hrs for 8, 5000Hrs for 10) at 1052.
- Surge voltage test: Surge voltage is 1.15x rated voltage (315V) or 1.1x rated voltage (>315V). Capacitance change within 15%.
- Pressure relief vent: Vent operates under reverse voltage; no sparking, shorting, or electrolyte paper breaking out.
- High Temperature Storage: Capacitance change within 20%, tan (not more than 200% of specified), leakage current within specified values after 1000 hours at 1052.
- High and Low Temperature characteristics: Impedance ratio and capacitance change within specified values at different temperatures.
