The Piher PS-15 and PSC-15 are 15-mm carbon and cermet SMD potentiometers designed for applications requiring frequent adjustment. Their shaftless design allows for versatile engagement mechanisms, including custom shafts, motor controls, or human interface adjustments. These potentiometers are suitable for controlling variable outputs such as frequency, motor speed, or volume. Key features include excellent linearity (up to 3%), a choice of carbon or cermet resistive elements, polyester or alumina substrates, up to 38 mechanical detents for tactile feedback, and an operational life of up to 100,000 cycles. They offer IP54 protection and are available in embossed tape packaging. Applications range from appliance program selection and thermostat adjustment to consumer electronics and test equipment.
