The MTS-360 is an ultra-miniature Hall-effect rotary position sensor offering 360-degree absolute position feedback and endless mechanical rotational angle without a dead band. It maintains position on power loss and features programmable electrical angles from 15 to 360 degrees. Its fully customizable nature allows for programmable transfer functions, switch outputs, and various output protocols and redundancy levels. The true contactless operation, achieved without gears or mechanical interfaces, ensures easy assembly, calibration, and limited wear, resulting in a lifespan of up to 50 million cycles. The through-hole design facilitates shaft insertion from top or bottom, making it suitable for space-constrained applications. Its exceptionally low profile and compact footprint (less than 18 x 18mm, 5.9mm height, <3g) make it ideal for direct PCB integration, saving time and cost. Applications span industrial sectors including optical image stabilization, biomedical devices, instrumentation, robotics, and automation feedback, as well as home and building automation (HVAC) and transportation (valve monitoring, conveyor operation, autonomous steering, joystick controls, hand throttle position).
