The Piher PT-10 and PTC-10 are 10-mm carbon/cermet through-hole potentiometers designed for applications requiring frequent adjustment. These shaftless potentiometers offer versatile engagement mechanisms, including customized shafts, motor control, or human interface adjustments. They are suitable for controlling variable outputs such as frequency, motor speed, or volume. Key features include excellent linearity (up to 3%), carbon or cermet resistive elements, up to 16 mechanical detents for tactile feedback, and up to 100,000 life cycles. The series offers IP54 protection and is available with magazine packaging for automatic insertion. Applications span appliance program selection, thermostat adjustment, timer and control relays, consumer electronics, power tool controls, and test and measurement equipment.
