The Piher PT-10 and PTC-10 are 10-mm through-hole potentiometers designed for applications requiring frequent adjustments. These carbon and cermet potentiometers offer versatile control for variable outputs such as frequency, motor speed, or volume. Their shaftless design allows for various engagement mechanisms, including customized shafts, motor controls, or human interface adjustments. Key features include excellent linearity (up to 3%), a choice of carbon or cermet resistive elements, up to 16 mechanical detents for tactile feedback, and an extended life of up to 100,000 cycles. They also provide IP54 protection and are available with magazine packaging for automatic insertion. Applications range from appliance program selection and thermostat adjustment to consumer electronics and test and measurement equipment.
