Product Overview
The PS-10 and PSC-10 are 10-mm carbon/cermet SMD potentiometers designed for applications requiring frequent adjustment. Their shaftless design allows for integration with various engagement mechanisms, including customized shafts, motor controls, or human interface adjustments. These potentiometers are capable of controlling variable outputs such as frequency, motor speed, or volume. Key features include a choice of carbon or cermet resistive elements, polyester/alumina substrate, up to 10,000 life cycles, IP54 protection, and availability in embossed tape packaging. They offer linear, logarithmic, and antilogarithmic tapers (PSC-10), self-extinguishable plastic options (UL 94V-0), and up to 16 mechanical detents for tactile feedback. Locating pins ensure accurate PCB positioning, and a low torque version is available. Applications span appliance program selection, thermostat adjustment, timer and control relays, consumer electronics, power tool controls, test and measurement equipment, small engines, robotics, and medical equipment control.
