Product Overview
The PT-15 and PTC-15 are 15-mm through-hole potentiometers designed for applications requiring frequent adjustment. Their shaftless design facilitates integration with various engagement mechanisms, including customized shafts, motor controls, or human interface adjustments. These potentiometers are ideal for controlling variable outputs such as frequency, motor speed, or volume. They offer excellent performance with up to 3% linearity, a choice of carbon or cermet resistive elements, and up to 38 mechanical detents for tactile feedback. With a lifespan of up to 100,000 cycles and IP54 protection, they are suitable for demanding applications in appliance program selection, thermostat adjustment, timer and control relays, consumer electronics, power tool controls, and test and measurement equipment.

Detents
Available up to 38 positions. Standard mechanical life is 500 cycles. Long life versions are available upon request. Consult Piher for unique non-overlapping values, LOG/ALOG tapers, or matched output voltage values at each detent position.
Stepped Outputs / Constant Value Zones
Constant value zones can be combined with mechanical detents for precise alignment between electrical output and mechanical detent position, ensuring repeatable and stable outputs. This enhances precision in control systems.
