The Piher PT-10 / PTC-10 is a 10-mm through-hole potentiometer designed for applications requiring frequent adjustment. Available in carbon (PT-10) or cermet (PTC-10) resistive elements, these shaftless potentiometers offer versatile engagement mechanisms for customized shafts, motor control, or human interface adjustments. They are suitable for controlling variable outputs such as frequency, motor speed, or volume. Key features include excellent linearity (up to 3%), up to 16 mechanical detents for tactile feedback, and up to 100,000 life cycles. The series boasts IP54 protection and is available with magazine packaging for automatic insertion. Applications include appliance program selection, thermostat adjustment, timer and control relays, consumer electronics, power tool controls, and test and measurement equipment.
