Product Overview
The Piher PT-15 and PTC-15 are 15-mm carbon and cermet through-hole potentiometers designed for applications requiring frequent adjustments. Their shaftless design allows for flexible integration with various engagement mechanisms, including custom shafts, motor controls, or human interface adjustments. These potentiometers are suitable for controlling variable outputs such as frequency, motor speed, or volume. Key features include excellent linearity (up to 3%), a choice of carbon or cermet resistive elements, up to 38 mechanical detents for tactile feedback, and an extended life of up to 100,000 cycles. They offer IP54 protection and are available with magazine packaging for automatic insertion. Applications span appliance program selection, thermostat adjustment, timer and control relays, consumer electronics, power tool controls, and test and measurement equipment.
