The Piher PT-15 and PTC-15 are 15-mm through-hole potentiometers designed for applications requiring frequent adjustments. These shaftless potentiometers offer versatile integration with various engagement mechanisms, including custom shafts, motor controls, and human interface adjustments. They are suitable for controlling variable outputs such as frequency, motor speed, and volume. Key features include excellent linearity (up to 3%), a choice of carbon or cermet resistive elements, up to 38 mechanical detents for tactile feedback, and an extended life of up to 100,000 cycles. With IP54 protection and available magazine packaging for automatic insertion, these potentiometers are ideal for appliance program selection, thermostat adjustment, timer and control relays, consumer electronics, power tool controls, and test and measurement equipment.
