Cautions
Adjustment
- Maximum pressure of screwdriver should be less than 100g.f.
- Use recommended screwdriver (VESSEL 9000, or equivalent tip).
- High pressure can lead to extensive setting drift or damage to internal elements.
Soldering
- Please refer to the recommended solder profile [Figure-2]. Unsuitable soldering conditions may cause the trimmer capacitor to deviate from specified performance characteristics.
- Use proper amount of solder; excessive amounts can cause bridging between terminals or contact failure due to flux invasion. Insufficient solder may lead to insufficient soldering strength on the PCB.
- Do not touch the trimmer capacitor body or terminals directly with a soldering iron, as this can cause serious damage.
- Do not use flow-soldering (dipping soldering) as it might penetrate into the trimmer capacitor.
- Do not use inappropriate adhesives, such as bond or instant glue.
- If SEHWA's recommended land pattern is not used, check mounting alignment in your mass production line.
- After reflow soldering, cool down at room temperature for at least 4 hours. Insufficient cooling time can lead to larger capacitance drift due to expansion and shrinkage.
Storage
- It is recommended to use within 6 months after delivery.
- Store components under temperatures of -10~40 and humidity of 30~70% RH.
- Do not store the trimmer capacitor in corrosive conditions.
- Do not open the package until just prior to use.
- Do not store under direct sunlight or in dewy environments.
Others
- Before using trimmer capacitors, please test and make a prototype product after assembly.
- Do not warp and/or bend PCB to prevent trimmer capacitor from breakage.
- Do not use locking paint or any substance to secure the rotor position, as this can degrade characteristics.
