Product Overview
The CS Series Silicone Coated Axial Lead Wirewound Resistors from ATE Electronics offer a high-performance and cost-effective alternative to glass-glazed ceramic resistors. Designed for operation in harsh environments, these resistors provide high precision, extremely low temperature drift coefficients, and exceptional reliability. The silicone coating allows for a wide operating temperature range of -55C to +350C. Their construction, featuring chemically inert ceramic cores and integrated welded structures for resistance wire and leads, ensures robust performance. These resistors are suitable for applications requiring high accuracy and stability under challenging conditions.

Operating Temperature and Derating
CS Series resistors can operate from -55C to +350C. For applications operating above +25C, linear power derating is required to maintain resistor lifespan. The graph illustrates power derating (Pn) as a function of maximum operating temperature (Tmax).
Power Derating Curve:
(Visual representation of the derating curve is not possible in text format. The text describes a linear derating from 100% at 25C to 0% at 350C, with specific curves for different series.)
- 2CS, 3CS: Derating starts at Tamb = 25C.
- 5CS, 6CS: Derating starts at Tamb = 25C.
- 7CS, 10CS, 12CS: Derating starts at Tamb = 25C.
